I soak in bleach and then wash the bleach off. Live in a country Brasil with many more legalized agrotoxics that many countries have given up using. Thank you Patricia

I usually clean with just plain water. And I would clean my apples with vinegar. I have my list of the dirty 12 and the 15 clean. And now how to clean my fruits and veggies. Baking Soda is one of my staples it works wonders on many things can add to cleaning my produce with it. Thanks

Hi Sue

I used to do it too. Now I use either baking soda or a vinegar. The reason is, I have read that baking soda and vinegar react with each other and they cancel themselves losing their cleaning properties. Please do some research and decide for yourself if this is something you want to do too. Have a great day.

Thanks to you I will soak them now in water with baking soda. Thank you so much for this very important information!

I believe that any vegetables, greens of any type fresh or in a bag should be washed. I use baking soda and vinegar. Let them soak, then rinse.

I know people who use salads and other greens right out of the bag. I’d never do that because I don’t trust commercial processing. Also, most restaurants don’t wash their greens from the bag, which is why I don’t eat salads at restaurants, not even the most high end ones.
