You’re absolutely right , studies like the one from Medicina (2021) show that bone broth contains only minimal amounts of minerals like calcium and magnesium, which was a key point in our article. Despite the hype, bone broth isn’t a nutritional standout compared to many plant-based foods; for example, a cup of cooked collards has over 250 mg of calcium, more than ten times what’s in a typical cup of bone broth. As for heavy metals, the research is nuanced, but some studies show elevated lead levels in broth made from bones, raising concerns about long-term exposure, especially for children or vulnerable populations. Not sure you read them based on your claims.

For 8 years I have used expensive collagen 3-4 times a day because of my knees and joint pain. Still have knee and joint pain. Every time I tried to Bone broth I got terrible gas and bloating. I am so glad to learn about this. I appreciate this education so much. Even though I have been basically a vegetarian for many many years. I didn’t eat enough greens, etc. I’ve learned so much from this program. I’m 78 and in fairly good health.
